20. August 2018 - F. DICK is the top kitchen brand of 2018!


When it comes to sharpening steels, there is no brand consumers are more impressed by than the F. DICK brand!

Scoring 100 from a possible 100 points and with the overall victory in the “Durability” category, the F. DICK brand secures 1st place with its sharpening steels. Over 5,000 consumers were polled as to their favourite kitchen brand, under various categories. The survey looked in particular at the respondents’ trust in the brand and whether they would recommend others to use it.

The name “HEKTOR” was finally chosen from over 500 different name suggestions – inspired by the warrior Hector who is well-known from Greek mythology. Hector was a noble and great military leader and therefore one of the strongest warriors in the battle of Troy.

12. March 2018 - Roland Pieber won the title "JUNGER WILDER 2018"!


Roland Pieber won the title „JUNGER WILDER 2018“! The 28-year-old head chef of the restaurant „Schlossküche Balthasar” in Walpersdorf, Austria convinced the jury with his creativity, talent and courage to reduce the number of ingredients and focus on taste. He definitely had strong competition: 2.528 young chefs applied and Roland Pieber beat them all! In the great final he won against Marlene Berger and Stephan Haupt. He not only won the title „JUNGER WILDER“, but also a cover story in the ROLLING PIN magazine and an internship with Alex Atala in the D.O.M. restaurant in Brazil! Congratulations!
