The development of the PURE METAL steak and table cutlery embodies our long tradition in the construction and production of high-quality tools and the tough conditions whereby they prove themselves in professional kitchens. It was important for us to create cutlery that equals the quality standards of our chef’s knives and tools and that suits the various uses, requirements and design aspirations of our customers.

Just one cut

A decent steak knife plays a big part in tucking into a great steak. A knife that glides effortlessly through the meat already sets the taste buds flowing. And a beautifully set table with an attractive knife only add to the enjoyment and culinary experience.

The exceptionally wide blade surface, and the curved and super sharp cutting edge of the PURE METAL AJAX guarantee a clean cut without sawing and tearing. One cut of the blade is all it takes to slice through the meat. The meat juices stay in the meat, the meat fibres are not torn and the result is a taste experience to savour. Our PURE METAL AJAX steak knife has a smooth, narrow edge – rather than a serrated edge – ensuring a clean cut through the meat, no matter what the cooking level. The AJAX has also been designed with every type of food in mind, making it a true all-rounder and an eye-catching tableware addition. Not just for fans of F. DICK knives.

For lasting enjoyment

All knives lose sharpness over time, especially when used on porcelain. But the specially designed curved blade shape means that only a small part of the cutting edge is ever in contact with the surface, without the entire cutting edge being damaged. But should the cutting edge nevertheless lose sharpness after some time, you can very easily resharpen the smooth cutting edge yourself. Simply use the same sharpening tool as you do for your chef’s knives.

Tablespoon - gentle curves and purism

A spoon is also required to complete the table cutlery. The spoon is the oldest piece of cutlery as the knife and fork came along much later. The PURE METAL tablespoon impresses with its unusual shape. The distinctive bowl of the spoon is ideal for soups, stews or even desserts. The head of the spoon is referred to as the bowl in technical jargon. The weight of the spoon is evenly distributed so that it is well balanced and comfortable in the hand.

Originally, spoons were completely round, modelled on a hollow, cupped hand. This has changed over time into the oval shape that they are today. We have enhanced the shape again to fit with the typical asymmetric design of the PURE METAL series. At first glance, the shape is uncharacteristic, but immediately impressive and familiar when used for the first time.

We have taken a successful step in also offering knife craftsmanship for the table with the AJAX PURE METAL steak and table knife. It impresses with an unusual design coupled with an exceptional cutting experience. There was immediately demand for a fork to match the knife.

The PURE METAL steak and table fork impresses with 4 longer, sturdy tines. These are perfect for holding and picking up thick pieces of meat. The weight is evenly distributed so that the fork is balanced and comfortable in your hand. You can split potatoes and vegetables perfectly with the slightly wider shape of the fork.

The design of the fork follows the clear line and styling of the AJAX PURE METAL knife - here the focus is also on the purist industrial design.

Cutlery plays a big part in enjoyment at the table. When the knife slides effortlessly through the meat and the fork splits the vegetables and picks them up easily, this already makes your mouth water.

Handling your knives

All F. DICK knives deserve special care and attention when it comes to maintenance. Never clean your knife in the dishwasher.
