Children fall ill, even incurably, suffer pain and die. All too often, we only notice this in passing. The association “Aktion Kinderträume – Verein der Deutschen Fleischwirtschaft e. V.” has made it its mission to help children, young people and their families in need.
In addition, the association aims to fulfil the special wishes and dreams of seriously ill and severely disabled children and their families. In doing so, the association works closely with the Bundesverband Kinderhospiz e. V. (Federal Association of Children's Hospices). The focus of their work is on the well-being and happiness of the individual child. True to the motto that happiness is doubled when it is shared (Albert Schweitzer).
The people helped by the association often lack one thing above all: time to live. This is why speed is an indispensable principle for action. Where normally bureaucratic channels cause long waiting times, and financial support and relief are quickly rejected, the association fulfils its function swiftly, unbureaucratically and flexibly.
The association was founded in 2004 on the initiative of our company owner Wilhelm Leuze as well as Clemens Tönnies and Uli Hoeneß.
